The Beehive at Maplebeck (which is only a mile from Kersall) is known as being one of the smallest pubs in Nottinghamshire. This old pub although it does not serve food or hot drinks is a traditional pub full of character and some would say a certain charm.

Newark on Trent has many lovely restaurants and coffee shops so many that you will be spoilt for choice. You can either enjoy eating in the centre of this lovely Market Town or choose one of the restaurants next to the River Trent where you can watch the boats come and go or indeed go on a boat trip yourself.

Southwell is only a short drive away from us and it too boasts many lovely coffee shops and numerous pubs that cater for all tastes. Why not visit this beautiful little town, which is well known for its spectacular Minster and treat yourself to a mid morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea in one of its many eateries.

As we are situated in North Nottinghamshire, the City of Lincoln is only a short drive away and here you can find both old and new style restaurants and pubs. You certainly will not find it difficult to find a restaurant or pub to suit your taste. Lincoln is situated on the River Witham and there are numerous restaurants and bars in the City itself and also near the riverside.

For those who wish to travel further afield, the City of Nottingham has over 200 restaurants to suit every taste and pocket. Nottingham City provides a choice of restaurants for those who prefer traditional beers in unchanged surroundings or fine wines in elegant bars.

Nottingham coverts the unusual; former churches have become bars and many warehouses are now restaurants. The historic heart of Nottingham, the Lace Market and Southside now buzz with new life and present friendly spaces in which to relax and unwind.
